For second day's races will be declared on the night of the first day's races at about 8 p.m. ACCEPTANCES for first day's races close on FRiIDAY, August 26th, at 8 p.m. For second day's races close with the Secretary on tho night of tho first day's races at bis O/fico, Weraroa, at 10 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. That no entry will bo received for any race excepting on ttyis condition That all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the races shall bo decided by a majority of the stewards, or those they mav appoint, and their decision upon all points connected with tho carrying onf of the programme shall be final. 2. All entries to be scaled and addressed to Secretary, Rox 10, Wernroa. with entrance money enclosed, name and age at time <:f 'M,trv. pedigree a>)d performances cf horse also name of owner and colours of rider. All jockevs to ride in costume and in colours nominated, otherwise a fine of 2 sovs will be imposed. 3. When two or more horses start the property of the same owner a distinguishing colour must be worn. 4. AH races to bo run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing. £ Horses walking: will receive onlv half the stnltK. 6. No horso whoso nomination ■and acceptance fees are unpaid will be allowed to start. 7. Entries by telegram must he confirmed in writing by the following mail. 8. All entries and nominntionf must be in the hands of Hie Seoretarv at the t/ime and place as advertised. HACK DEFINITION— No horse shall start in any back raco which has at any time prior to the timp of entry won a race to the value of 100 sovs. or races of tbe aggregate value of 250 sovs to tbo winner.
