An extraordinary explosion took place near Xewcasile. Two labourers wore working on the railway., when one struck his pick into tlio ground. There was a violent expbsion and both, men were hurled into tho air and seriously injured. It is believed that an iinexploded blasting charge had boon left in the spot.
