SUMMARY OF THE NEW TIMB TABLa. The alterations and amendment to the railway time table have reduced many a citizen to the etate of John Jones, costernionger, some time of London, made illustrious by a song writer who sang of him that "since Jack Jones came into a little bit of oof 'e dunno where e' are I The experiences of varying time tables during the past three or four months have left dubious impressions in the minds of citizens, and quite a number have missed their passages through confusing Inst months times with those of the present. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, and may then work nut, from the above figures, the time which tho train will tako to travel from tlje station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reaches Piilmerstan, from the North, at 12.40 p.m. and arrives at Thorndon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland express leaves Thormlon at 12.15 p.m. and reaches Palmerston at 3.35 p.m
