No doubt there will be general appreciation felt for the subjoined summary of train times, which will |,o printed in "The Chronicle" from dnv to day, until familiarity cures the present doubtfulness with which residents in various localities are afflicted.
Some of the abovo trains will stop at intermediate stations, such as Tokoinaru, Oliau, Mannkau, le Horo, etc.; but there aro some which do not. Residents shoiml acquaint themselves with the trains which do stop at their particular stations.
As previously mentioned, there are. several wayside stations at which ono or inoro of the above trains will stop whenever passengers desire to bo set down or tnkeri up. Local residents may ascertain which an? the trains which cater for thoir towns, and may then work out, from the above figures, the time which the train will take, to travel from the, station immwliately preceding. The Auckland express reaches Palmerston, from the North, at 12.10 p.m. and arrives at Tliorndon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland express leaves Thomdon at 12.15 p.m and roadies Palmerston at 3.35 p.ir
