Tlie statement of affairs of Donald Gillanders, a liunknipt farmer., was weired by the Official A.ssignoo (Mr E. Gerard) to-day. The bankrupt i ■estimates his liabilities to unsecured creditors at C,' 428 18s, and his assets at CI 387 Lis, leaving a nominal surplus of CBSB 17s. ''Ladies and gentlemen," th-e bankrupt stated, after accounting for his position, "f am ihere to-day nob to dodge yoirr claims, or only pay part, but to call on those who have the right to pay to out -their shoulders to the wheel as I have t'one. and am still going to do, to make those who sell me farms give me the true tilling. Help me to lighten the I»urd'en by making those pay who ought to pay, or if you take every shilling T own. T will still ho a hapny man, having the best woman in the world my wife, and the best hnby Heaven could present. Tam young and will pay every penny you claim."
