A Desperate Plot.

He chatted with several soldiers, and asked the time at which his Majesty was expocted to arrive. He had taken great precautions to conceal his identity. Initials were cut from his linen, and he earned no papers giving any information about himself. Despite this, however, he was identified as •Jose Carengia Tobarelli, an Argentine who came to Madrid from Barcelona in January. He was twen-ty-seven years old. The.,body was recognised hy Luis Gonzalez Calderon, who sa'id he was a fellow medical student. A double-barrelled pistol was attached to the bomb, and } m th chambers emptied themselves into tho Anarchist's legs when the explosion took place.
