The eoininit'tee in ohargc of the library of the local Y.'M.C.A. has recently been busy drawing up a fresh catalogue and •installing a number of now books. It is the Intention of tlio Association to supplcmwi't the books as often as possible, and gifts from sympathisers have materially swelled the number at present on the shelves. Tlie lending depar.tmeiit of the library is open from 7.30 ito 8.30 on Wednesday , and from 7.30 <to 9 on Saturday evenings.
A serious accident happened last ni&ht to Mr J. Barnett, of Tiro Tiro road ; liCvin. He hadi bcjn visiting his nephew's house, and when returning 'home at aibout 9 o'clock he slipped on a stone end fell with such force that his leg was very severely injured. The attendance of a doctor was necessary to set tho limb, and it will be aonie weeks before Mr Barnett will be able to get out of his bed.
