Having vwl amongst you for over twelve cars, and having always taken a vely interest in all matters persuing to the welfare of the disrict, as well as having served a L'nn on tho Council, already justies me in asking for your support, is you are aware there has been ver £35,000 of putblic money spent y the Council within the last two ears, and as a, largo- proportion of bis money has not, to my mind, ean expended as judiciously as it liould have been, a strict investigaion of the accounts would do no arm. And as it is well-known to lost of you, that I have the courgo of my opinions, and not afraid a speak where I think there is wilil neglect, or an injustice being one, I trust to bo favoured with our support.
