I'iigrain) w.'!l read the following report on the *;;• :is!in's doings : "It gives nie much pleasure in bringing before you the report of the Levin Rifle Club's doings during the hist year. The club lms had a very successful year; it has made a few new members, the total members-hip is 2(5 members. jviwl the club, (;n ti'ae whole, is on a financial basis. The club has had a good year for shooting judging by the trophies here before you. "The club heaitily thanks all those who so kindly donated trophies for 'competition amc/ivg tlhe members, 'namely Mr W. 11. Field. M.P., Mr B. Gardener. Messrs A. S. Patterson and Co., Messrs D. W. Viiltue and Co.. Mr W. Palmer. Mr W. M. Clark. Mr IT. Hall, Mr A. T. Fen ton. Mr T. Jen nia n, Rifleman ■J. Rutherford and Rifleman l W. R. I n gram. The Levin Rifle Club are also indebted to .Mr J. Pro-use, chairman of directors of the Levin Co-opera-tive Dairy Company. Ltd., for tli-j beautiful Championship Belt, which was s:> generously p rest n-ted by him to the Levin Dl-'lflife Rifle Club, on behalf of the Levin Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., for competition among t'!:e niembrrs. "The shooting of the Levin RifleClub on the whole has improved a.'' to previous years, and wo hope to improve still more this coming year as nearly all the members are going in for the latest- B.S.A. aperture sights, as they -'ire a marked imnrovi'im iit on t'li-e old sights, -and :t is no use competing in teams Mii'tolies now a days unless we have them. "The clu'b competed for the Fresh Food •i-iid Ice Cnmpiiny's Cup in two competitions. The first competition u r-' wit'i Xgatiawa Rifle Club, wliic-b Levin won by 20 poin'hs. The "e-iud c )mp: ti:tio!i witli ITautere Rifle Club, wiis lost by ithe club by 21 iK-.iiits, and then the club was out 'il it for the s-'ason. "Ih:> club also sent a ten men team to Paliners'tnn North, to co-m----p.i 4 '' lor the Field Shield, and' T am s'irrv to s-ay the team finished at the tiiil end. "The c'luib also fired seven •nat i'ies outside clubs, and the olnb wcni four tr,'it-flies -and lost three. " Pl'-e club nieir'bers have competed lor lour hits nf itrophies, ing eleven trophies altogether, and Mie members have also competed 'tiring the season for ■the Bul'ler Cup •vn d the Levin Co-oner a,tivo Com--anv's G'lampionship Belt and gold 'nedal. The winner proved to be. Rifleman W. R. Ingram for all three trophies. Rifleman W. R. Tngram won the Buller Cup the previous year, _which makes tw'o vears in .succession, and he has to win it another year in succession and then it becomes his own nro-p-M-ty."
