A CALL TO THE "CHIN MUSICIANS."
To the Editor Sir,—When strolling around the streets of Levin on a Saturday night, one canniot help noticing t.bat the general topic of discussion is football, indulged in by <>1 d and vouivjj. The voung men in particular that do the most talking are those that are not "sports" enough to "don the jer.sev" themselves. Levin at present is trying to run wo junior teams. T consiidor they ought to lie able to pu't three junior teams in the field, judging by the number of young fellows a'hout the place. But the' true sporting spirit is not strong enough here; the Levin-Wanderer A. team has not gone on the field with a full team om'e (in the first round. Ts not this very disheartening tlo the " trire sports" that do .'jbiek to 'tlio A team? On Saturday last, when they played at Shannon, with twelve men on the around, they only beaten, by three points. T hope, sir. thait.' these few remarks will bring out a few young men that- call themselves "sports" to "dion the jersev" for the rest of the season, ami so lift u,p the prsitiion of the Levin-AVairWer A team in ithe jun-i-,r cunpetitioiT from the bottom of the list to the top.-Yours, etc., "ONE OF THE WINGS."
