HOROWHENUA RUGBY UNION.

A meeting of the management committee of the Ilorowhenua Pugby Union was held last evening. Present —Messrs J. Proctor (chair), Ruihi Weliepeihana, Horo Karauti, W. C. Cooto and A. Thorne (lion, secretary). Tt was decided to purchase twelve handbooks on the rules of the game for distribution. ft was decided to inscribe the winner's name (Ker'eru) on tbe junior banner for last year. Mears (of the Tainui Club) was re-instated as a junior. The Tainui Club was allowed to change its colours to blue with white band. A member of tho Manageni'enlt Committee had occasion to report a Hui Mai player for offensive language in the Hui Mai—-Levin-Wan-derer match. Tt was resolved that unless an a.pology was forthcoming from tli'e player 'before next meeting be would be dealt with. The committee is going to take a strong stand in tbe maitter, and so slfaop offensive language on the field, so far as lies in the committee's power. Tlie referee in the Hui Mai—Shannon junior match (Mr Mcßain) reported having had to put off Woods (Shannon) for indiscriminately kicking in the serum. Woods was suspended till Wednesday, June 8 and
