Tlie natives in French Congo murdered Mr Royrl Alexander whilst he wns on n h uniting and iwitural history expedition. Mr Royd Alexander, tlie colebratcd explorer, was killed on 3rd of April, at Nyer, eastward of Abess-ar in Wntliii, tho eontro of tho Senussi ifiotivity and the sceno of the murders of several explorers, ineliidintr Vogol in ISofi, and Reiirma.nn in 1801, and recently the scene of the fanatical attack on ithe French troops, which wore ainbush'od and cut to pieces. Tlio Fioiifh troops retaliated, eilmstisinp; tho natives on 7th April.
