On Friday next, being the day of tho funeral of tlie late King Edwaird VII., the Horowlieiiua Chronicle, will not be. published. Any advertisements ordinarily published on Fridays should bo sent in for tomorrow's issuo.

During recent years land near Levin lias brought particularly good prices. This is no doubt in a great measure due 'to Wellington being fairly close as a market for all kinds of produce. The capital city depends for its milk and vegetable! supplies on the country on tlio Mainawatu line. The land even without theso advantages has much /to commend it and for dairying purposes it cannot be surpassed. On Saturday next, 21st May, nt Levin, Abraham jiii<l Williams, Ltd., will submit 1500 acres to public auction. The "Tawbera" esltato has been cut up into convenient sized farms of from fis to 290 acres, and situated as it is on the main rond between Levin and Shannon it should meet with a ready sale. Intending purchasers will be shown over the property on a plication being made, to the auctioneers.
