Vegetables of all kinds are in good demand at fair prices, with slackening supply. We have onqufries for about half-ton of garlic, at 4d per lb. . There has been a slight improvement in the value realised for apples and pears, and we hope to report a, further advance next week. Grapes are keenly enquired for. Eggs are still in short supply, and preserved eggs to-day sold at Is sd, with good enquiry. Poultry is in poor demand. Oats are firm, with advancing values. .Wheat and Maizo unaltered. _ Wo are at tho present time doing a very large trade in horse and cow covers, which we supply at from 20s to 235, made of the best material and by tiho best workmanship. Tho 19 'per cent, basic sing which wo have to offer our clients is of the highest grade, and we should be glad to make special quotations for quantities, as we have concluded a purchase on very advantageous terms.
