ANNUAL MEETING OF lIOUSKHOLDERS.

At the annual meeting of the householders of Koputaroa school district, the cltair was occupied by .Mr S. A. Rroadbelt, and the annuial report was read as follows" Your committee have much pleasure in presenting their annual report and balance-sheet. The as presented, shows a. credit of .CI 1.3s Bd, which must bo considered most satisfactory. During tho past year the average attendance was.ss, and the number of scholars on tho roll 05. Taking in,to account the distance most children have to travel to school, the attendance must ho considered satisfactory. The number ,at present on the roll is 75, which is satisfactory. Your committee have pleasure in being cible to say that the inspector's term reports have all been good, and. the. householders have to be congratulated on having such .an .efficient teacher as .Mr Clark, who spares no pains in trying to bring tho children forward. Unfortunately, tho Education Board have much difficulty in keeping an assistant mistress at JCopntaroa. and unfortunately, too, the infant class .suffer accordingly. The children's annual picnic was held in Mr McMillan's paddock on February 24th, and a most enjovable day was spent. Tho amount of Gls 2s was kindly subscribed h.v the residents, of which CI ! IDs f)d was expended on fond and prizes for the children. Your '•ommittee have the matte]' of a new road fence in hand, and hope to have -it completed .shortly."
