Directoire led to the straight entrance, but here Humming Bird threw out a determined challenge, and finishing full of running, won by a length. Nursery Handicap. Ivdunoor ... 1 Glass ... 2 Ngatiruanui ... 3 Scratched: Birkdale and Sir Solo. Once tin , .straigligt was entered it w;:.s apparent that, on tfie day, KohiiKK)! - was the only competitor with a winning chance. Sho ran home an easy winner. Porangahau Handicap.
