McMinu, charged with assaulting E. l'ratt, by Covering him witJi a revolver and ordering him to put up his hands, and threaten- | ing to blow out his brains, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment, in the Stipendiary .Magistrate's Court this morning. He said that in this case there were no extenuating circumstances, except that accused was assisting the police. His conduct altogether was outrageous, and it must be recognised as that by anyone. The Stipendiary Magistrate regretted that one who had conducted himself so well during the day had got into such a condition during the evening as to commit the notions complained of.
