Robinson, on a. charge of street betting, the Magistrate, referring to the points raised for the defence, said it was clear defendant had no right to the option of being tried by n jury, and said that it was unnecessary to prove the defendant had used the street on more than one occasion. He was fined .C2O: in default two months' imprisonn.'ent.
