CTFmSTCHITRCH, April 19 Tho Tramway Board finished the year w itli a surplus of C 10,145. after paying .all charges. This is tho best result since the Exhibition year. The City Council is having trouble with its workmen over payment for holidays. The men wanted to send a deputation to the council from their union, but the council declined to receive outsiders. There is now prospect of n warm controversy on the subject of recognition of the General Labourers' Union, to which •'ll the council's labourers belong.
