Harvest thanksgiving services will be held in the Town Hall, Weraroa, oh Sunday next, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The Rev. S. G. Compton will ctwiductt the evening service, and Major Burlinson will take the service in the morning. A sewing meeting of the Girls' Friendly Society was held in St. Mary's churchroom at 7.30 o'clock last night, when reports were read from various branches, and a most enjoyable evening was spent. The classes are to be continued in the same hall every Thursday evening. A sale of fruit and vegetables will be held in the Town Hall, Weraroa, on Monday night, at 7.30 o'clock. These will be gifts from the residents of Weraroa, and .the proceeds of the sale will be devoted to the purchase ,of materials for the bazaar to.be held at Weraroa in November in aid of the Anglican Church building fund. Mr Hankins has kindly consented to conduct the sale.
