No doubt there will he general appreciation felt for tho subjoined sunnnarv of train times, which will be printed in "The Chronicle" from day to day, until familiarity cures the present doubtfulness with which residents in various localities nn> a (flicted.
Some of the above .trains will stop at intermediate stations, such as Tokoinaru, Oliau, Manakau, To lloi'o, etc.; but there aro somo which do not. Residents should acquaint themselves with the trains which do stop at their particular stations,
As previously mentioned, there are several wayside stations at, which one. or more of the above trains will stop whomever passengers desire to be set down or taken up. Local residents may ascertain which are tlio trains which cater for their towns, and may then work out, from the above figures, the time which the .train will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reaches Palmei'stoiii, from the North, at 12.-10 p.m. and arrives at Thnrndoii at 1.7 p.m. The Auckland express leaves Thnrwlon at p.m. and readies I'alnierston at 3.3." p.m.
