In a Smoking Carriage.

A Scotch elyergymaii, having settled himself in a smokiiig compartment at a village station, found the door being opened by a lishwile. The clergyman wishing to be nlone, said to her, very civilly: "My good woman, this is a smoking compartment." But she paid mo attention.
