I N.Z. FARMERS' CO-OPFR ATIVF DISTRIBUTING CO., J/J J). WEEKLY REPORT. (Special to " The Tlorowhenna Chronicle.") For the convenience of the farming community, " Tho Chronicle-" is reprinting from day to day, (luring the autumn .season, the'quotations of prices current as iss.tad by the Farmers' Distributing C'tnipany WELLINGTON, April 8. We have- little to add to last week's remarks, the position being about the same with most, lines. Diseased potatoes, are, however, unsaleable, and should on no .account be sent forward at the- > time. e havo pleasure in announcing that our sales lor the half-year ending .'list March .show an increase ol CoOOO, as compared to the same period last year, and the prospects are that the increase will be still greater during the remainder of the year. Tho company's financial positioiii is now such as warrants a large extension in trade, and with this end in view we have lately appointed as travelling representative Mr W. F. Edwards, who will havo his headquarters flfc Levin, and regularly visit all localities as far north as Palmerston. Mr Edwards has been a successful farmer, and has a full knowledge of the requirements of the_ producers, as well as possessing business-like commercial methods, and transactions entrusted to his care will receive prompt attention. We .Jiave this year largelv extended our fruit trade, but .still' have the capacity for a greater increase, and we hope present suppliers who are satisfied with our efforts on their behalf, will show appreciation by advocating neighbours to ship our way, to the benefit of themselves, the company, and the general protection of the Industry.
