W. l'aterson's Penates ... 2 Mr G. I). Greenwood's Danube... M This was an excellent race. A\ arsong cut out the running to the straight entrance, but died aw.ay, and then Eormby moved up. Passing tho .stand IVnates sliot up and his victory was proclaimed, but Polymorphous finished resolutely, and drew clear, landing tlie X'oOO by a. length and a, half. Danube finished fairly well, and gained third place, three lengths behind Penates.
