Mr McKinnon "Wood, Under-Sec- 1 retary for the Foreign Office, replying to Mr Douglas Hall, said the Egyptian Government's intention to abide by the Assembly's decision has been reached after consultation with Sir Eldon Gorst, and with his consent, but the Imperial Government was nowise influenced by the decision. If tho ICgyptian Government did not extend the concession the British Government's interest in the Canal Company would terminate with tho concession.
