MEETING AT LEVIN

Last evening, at the Methodist Church, Levin, a well-attended meeting of the Council of the Churches was held, when householders for the school committee wore nominated. The vicar (the Rev. S. G. Compton). who took the chair, asked the Rev. J. White if he could explain the New South "Wales svstein of religious education in schools, and the Nelson system. Mr White then gave a very interesting resume of the two schemes, and it Was decided to approach the school committee with a view to their adopting the Nelson system in Levin.
