WELLINGTON, This Day

Rurlv this morning a fire was discovered in a large brick building in Stout street, owned ,nnd occupied ').v J. E. Butbr," Limited, wholesale saddlers. After two hours hard, work the fire brigade succeeded in extiiiguishin the flames. The buildin .cc was only slightly damaged but the contents suffered severely from fire and water. The building was insured for £5500 in tho- London, Liverpool and Globe Office. The contents of the building were insured lor £4(550 in the same office, £2000 in tiTc Xorth British, £]()()() in the National, aavj £2500 in the Standard office. Several other tenants al c o suffered.
