Horowhenua Boating Club.
A committee meeting of theHorowlienua Boating Club will bo- held at an early (late to make final arrangements for the races, which, it'is hope:!, will take j>l ace next week. Mr. Shaw, the managi'-r of the Gasworks, has kinrlly promised, to give two models for competition. Mr R. C.'iiTiithcrs, an active, member of the committee, in course of conversation with .1 "Chronicle-" representative yesterday expressed the hope that the meeting would he wc-ll attended, as -there was every rwison to believe- the races would be well patronised by the public.
