The Editor- of the Swarajya newspaper, published at Allahabad, has been sentenced to ten years' imprisonment for seditious articles. Kanare and two confederates have been found guilty of abetting in the murder of Mr Jackson, Government collector at Nasik. Tbe.v have each been sentenced to death. Two others were ordered to undergo transportation for life. On another two years' hard labour was inflicted.
