Doctor's Sudden Death.

[PKR PRESS' ABSOCrATION.] FFJLDING, This Day. Dr. Monektcm, one of the oldest surgeons here, dropped dead at his irate yesterday afternoon. The cause of death is thought to be heart disease. -he demised, who had been an army surgeon in England, came to Zealand about 30 years ago. While at Tnvercargilf he leased the Auckland Islands from the Government, anid grazed sheep. Afterwards ho lived at Greymouth. and later came to Feildinig. Dr. Mon ok ton was the Government vaccinator. He was Mayor of Feilding in 1889.
