THEORETICALLY SETTLED.
THE BRITISH POLITICAL CRISIS. LOBBY RUMOURS. [bv electric telegraph-coptright.] [.PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received This Day, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, March 23. According to rumours current ill the lobby of the House of Commons, the Premier, Mr Asquith, has given the Nationalist Party ground for the belief that the Liberal Government intends to resign, upon rejection by the House of Lords of the Premier's resolutions directed against the Lord's power of veto. If Mr Balfour than takes office, in a House in which the Liberals have a majority, they will then refuse supplies, and Mr Asquith will thereupon decline to take office again without receiving an assurance that the Veto Bill will be passed.
