THE CASE Ofc , POOH LANZO. The feminine invasion into spheres once dominated by man alone, continues to grow. The mounted highwayman of other days has just given place to the woman robber in a taxi-cab. Slie descended on a citizen of Chicago the other night as he was walking along The street, took his money, and sped away. Tlie woman was walking when she approached him, said the victim whose name is Lanza. As she drew near she cried out as u in fear and then fell, as it : fainting. Lanzo gallantly stepped forward and stooped down to give assistance. As he did so he found himself face to face with a revolver. The woman laughed and rose, bidding Lanzo stand still. He did without effort. She added that it was time that he banded over his money. "I was » little slow, 1 thiiik," Lanzo told the police, "and she reached and fel. my pockets with one hand, while still holding the revolver in the other. "Now clear off down the street" she said, when she had cleaned out all I had, taking my purse and watch. I went all right, not looking hack until 1 had gone half-way down the street. Then T stopped and watched her. She hurried to the west end of the viaduct, and entered a taxicab and away she went.
