Crowther's clearing sal.e of dairy stock held at Sliaiuion on .Monday the cows were a very good lot, Hiiid though only few in, number, they sokl very well. Prices ranged from £o 10s to £10, averaging all through the respectable price of £7 10s (id; weanor heifers made £2 0s (id ; bulls, £2 2s (id >to £-'5 oh; bactmers, £2; sows in pig, os; Berkshire boar, 2i)s; sundries, otc., sold at good prices. LON DO.V .\l A i'{ K KTS. Dalgety Jind Co. report having received the following cable messages from their London House under date of the I.7th instant:— Tallow. Prices for beef and for beefy mixed are from .'id to (id higher, but other descriptions are linn at hist quotations. Krozen .Meat.—.Mutton, which is in good demand, is £d higher, and arrivals are being cleared as landed. The consumptive demand for lamb is active and prices are very firm at unchanged rates. We exnect that if any change in prices takes place it will be in favour of sellers. As mutton and lamb is selling so freely we anticipate that the heavy arrivals later on will be cleared more readily than was at first thought. Prices for beef fores are id higher ,*nul for hinds |d higher, owing to a. temporary shortage of chilled, but large arrivals are expected shortly when a reaction will probably take place. Wool'.—Wool sales continue firm and active with brisk competition. Prices for merinos are-rather dearer. At the present series of sales the following realisations of wool on account of our clients have been made:— 15!) bales wool WHAIIAXUT, on account C. V.
