- — NEW ZEALAND'S CONTRIBUTION'. THE NEW VESSELS. [BY ELECTRIC [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. J (Received This Dav, 8.45 a.m.) LONDON, March 17. Sir George Reid and Mr HallJones have had an interview i\ith the Admiralty, at which they formally agreed to contracts for the construction of warships on behalf of the Governments of Australia and New Zealand. The vessels will include a number of improvements upon " Tndomitables, ' the nature of which is confi-'leiiti.-.l at present. They will be 2c*- knot speed, 18,000 tons and 570 Jc«t long. Trials will he completed by _ July, _ 1912. The dialler cruisers, which accompany llicm to Australia, will not be ready Ulore the end of the year 1912.
