A howling match between representatives of Levin and Shannon is in progress this afternoon on the Ln'in green. The feathers are being played for. The Otaki Flower Show is to lie opened this afternoon. There are large entries in the various classes. A report on the show will appear in to-morrow's "Chronicle." Some exceedingly interesting descriptions of the experiences of Pans during the terrible floods of January last will appear in toissue of " The Horowhenua Chronicle." They are from the pen of Miss Bodgki'ns, sister-in-law of Mr W. B. Field, M.P., a lady who holds a. high position in Parisian art circles.
