The commission Ims made a contract with the Xew Zealand Shipping Company which provides for a monthly sailing from Montreal during the summer, and from St. Jolnn.'s during the winter, calling at Halifax. A subsidy of £'2000 a mouth is to be given, and it is stipulated that rates shall not exceed those from .similar ports of the United States.
