.i v r-jre.-vci . 111 STOCK SALE. Abraham and Williams rejport as follows:—At Shannon on Friday we had medium yardings of sheep, cattle and pigs. The bulk of stock yarded was sold at prices on a par with recent quotations. We quote: 2-tooth wethers, 12s Id; f.m. ewes, 5s 4d: rape lambs, 7s Id to 8s 3d; store lambs, 5s Id; Southdown rams 1 to ligns; Roniney rams, 20s: springing cows, £3 2s Gel, £4 2s Gel to £4 10s; weaners, 9s, 19s, 25s Gd, 25s Gel to 29s Gd; empty cowa, £2 10s; 18-months steers, £2 18s; heifers in calf, £2 17s Gd. SKIN AND HIDE SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams report:—- We offered a fair catalogue of skins and hides to a good attendance of buyers, prices being oil a par with last sale. We quote: Slfins, crossbred medium, 8!d; coarse, 7;] d ; 5-wools, GJd ; dead, GJd: shorts and inferior, 3d to 5d ; lambs, 3s Gd; pelts, 3s to 3s 4d; lambs pelts, Is 9d. Hides, light cow, - Gj|d to G:ld ; light ox, 7d to 7id; calf, to BJd. WOOL SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams report as follows The last sale of the season was held on Friday at Pnlmerston, when catalogues comprising a total of 2100 bales were offered to a good attendance of buyers. Our catalogue comprised a total of 320 bales, and as is usual at this time of year, consisted of very rough back country wool and late shorn lambs. There was good competition for all wools, and prices were fully maintained. The different qualities realised as follows: Romney, lOild; fine crossbred (logstained), 9Jd to 9:|d; medium crossbred 9d to 9Jd; coarse, Bjd to B^d; inferior crossbred, 7Jd to 8d; medium, 9Jd to lOd; medium lambs, logstained, 83d to 9^d; inferior and seedy, 7}d to Bjd ; slipe lambs, 10.id ; seconds, 7Jd; J-bred pieces, super 9d to 9Jd; crossbred pieces, super, 7:] dto 8d; Ist pieces, to 7d; ordinary, 4Jd to GJd; locks, 3}d to 4d; dead, 7d to black, 7Jd. <
LONDON MARKETS. Dalgety and Co. _ report having received the following cable messages from their London house under date of the 10th instant:— Frozen Meat.—A pood demand exists for all descriptions. Prices for New Zealand lamb arc unchanged, but Australian lamb rules id higher. Canterbury mutton is firm at last quotations, hut Ncav Zealand North Island and Australian arc Jd higher. Prices for beef are id higher. Wool.—Sales continue firm, and lately reported rates are fully maintained. Continental and English buyers are the principal operators, American buyers hardly doing anything. Decline is chiefly on crossbred wools, greasy, medium and coarse qualities, suitable for America . Tallow.—Prices are par to Gd higher. Advance is chiefly on low and inferior qualities. Rabbitskins.—New Zealand rabbitskins are 5 per cent higher, other descriptions 10 to 15 per cent higher. Furriers buying freely, even the lower qualities—l27o bales were offered and practically sold.
