A meeting of Church of England parishioners was held iat tho Weraroa Hall on Thursday night to consider the desirableness of obtainin", a site and erecting a church at Weraroa. Although Mr Higgins, at the hotel, has been very gracious in. allowing the use of the hall >n Sunday, yet there have been times when it has been wanted for other purposes. The Rev. S. G. Compton presided. Although the night was wet and there were other attractions, there was a fair attendance, for the Weraroa people iare united in their church work. The hope was expressed that some kind friend would give a suitable site. Ten guineas were collected in the room, which, if a site is given, will go to tl'.e church building fund. There is also a sum of £6 odd in the Savings Bank. Two committees were formed—one of ladies and the other of gentlemen, and they will report later on concerning their canvas for subscriptions,
