FIRE IN CHAUCER-ROAD.

DESTRUCTION OF SIX,DWELLING • , HOUSES. ' A pire occurred this morning at about four o’clock in Chaucer-road, by which . six houses are totaliy destroyed,—* nothing remaining of them but the ; bare chimney stalks. We are unable ; to gather any definite information as to the cause of the fire, which originated in a house occupied by a person known as “ Black Hatfr'yi** Two of the houses belonged' to Mr MTntyre, aud were, we believe, to . have been sold by auction this day. The other four houses were the property of Mrs Eobinson, Messrs Flynn, Mulherne, and Maloney. We do not know if any of the loss is covered by insurance.
