FUNERAL OB THE LATE GOVERNOR, 818

The following telegram, dated “ Adelaide, February 22,” appeara in the Sydney Morning Herald, of the 24th ul't. .
Ho business doing,to-day, it being observed as a close holiday,, owing to the funeral of the late Sir Dominie 'Daly. The body was removed privately to theßoman Catholic Cathedral at 9 o’clock this morn-
ing, only chief mourners and the Ministry being present. At 2 the public funeral to " West Terrace Cemetery took place, seventeen minute guns being fired when the body left the Cathedral. The procession was a very large one, and, was composed of Volunteers: (Cavalry, Foot, and Artillery), all the 50th Begiment in-garrison, Mem-
bers of the Legislative Council and Asse’mbly, Judges, Clergy, Civil servants, and some 700'citizens. The coffin was oh a gun carriage, drawn by six horses. At the grave seventeen .minute-guns were fired besides the usual—volleys by Volunteers. An immense concourse witnessed the funeral, and followed in the wake of ths pror cession.- The Gazette proclaims one month’s mourning.
