Afeeofsixpenoe is chargeable on, each Crown Grant for every . month during which . it shall remain in this office after the expiration of three months from the date of this notice. ■ Written authorities (in the form to be obtained at this office), must be produced in cases where the granteeddes not attend personally to receive his grant.

PROCLAMATION. By his Honor DoNAIiD M'Leak, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, in the Islands of New Zealand. \ I /"HEREAS by an Act of the General V V Assembly, intituled “ The Hawke’s Bay Waste Land Regulations Amendment Act, 1865,” it is enacted that all wastelands of the Crown in the said Province notheretofore proclaimed as open for selection or sale, Bhall, before being proclaimed as open for selection or sale, be classified as follows by the Commissioner of Crown Lands: — Class 1- shall comprise lands suitable for townships orfor special settlement. . Class 2 shall comprise lands suitable for agricultural settlement. Class 3 shall coinprise land snitable for: pastoral purposes. And whereas there , are no lands within the boundaries of the land described in th& Schedule hereunto annexed suitable ; for townships, or for special settlement, orfor agricultural settlements? arid whereasby tiesaid Act it is further enacted that all the, lands'comprisedin Class,3, aforesaid shall be divided into blocks suitable, for runs* and offered for lease for terms of 14 yearsby public auction^— Now, therefore, I, the said Donald M‘Lean, Supeririterident of the Province of Hawke’s Bay, do hereby notify and; proclaim that the.land comprised in the said First Schedule, hereunto annexed; will be offered to- he leased tby publip, auction for a term of fourteen years, at the Crown Lands Office in Napier, on THURSDAY, tho twenty-third-, day ofApril noon, in tiie lots se.t forth to, the Second* Schedule, hereunto annexed; and. thafcthqperson who shall, bid the.highest for each lot shall become the lessee of the same ; and- I further notify that the stuns“ of money set, against each lotshal,Lrepr«;,; sent the lowest rent which will be accepted, for each lot. t 7.. , , day of lanhary,in the;.yeai* ( qf .ojp sand eight hundred and sixty-eigbt.
