ACQUATICS.
Two boat races came off in,v-the roadstead on Wednesday last. The day was beautifully fine, and great interest seemed to be taken in the sport,-—large numbers of people having congregated on the beach near the pilot station. The first race wa9 between Mr Symes’ ‘Caroline,’ steered by Captain Trimmer, of the schooner ‘Success’ ; and Mr Ferguson’s ‘ Dreadnought,’ steered by Master William Stuart. This race was an easy one for the ‘ Caroline.’ The second race was between the ‘Caroline,’ with the same steersman; and the steamer ‘ Cleopatra’s’ boat, steered by Captain Edwards, of the schooner ‘ Onward.’ Again the victory was an easy one for the ‘ Carry,’ which boat had evidently the best crew. We believe plenty of money changed hands on both events-
