THE SUPREME COURT.

After two successive adjournments the criminal sittings of the Supreme (now “ Circuit ”) Court were held on Wednesday. His Honor Mr Justice Johnston having arrived by the s.s. ‘Wellington’ on Tuesday. The calendar was not heavy including only two cases one of embezzlement, and one of assault,—-and these were dis posed of during the day. A report of the proceedings will be found elsewhere.
