At Eemuera on Thursday dairy stock Were,lowin price, and many withdrawn. • ■ Storo cattle met with a steady enquiry, at fully late rates.. Eat cattle ;were in medium supply; 40 head only penned; but the bidding was dull, and prices were easier towards the conclusion of the sale. Store sheep were in moderate supply. Merino wethers, shown in fair condition, brought 12s 6d each. Ewes and lambs, in their wool, 35s to 37s the couple. Eat sheep were in average supply, without alteration in price. Lambs of good .quality were .plentiful, and brought from 12s to 18s; inferior lambs, from 6s 6d each. "W. HUNTER AND CO.’S WEEKLY REPORT. TVe have to report that on Saturday last there was a large show of horses, principally hacks. A few heavy draught colts sold at good prices; a few good hacks sold from £8 to Jo9los. Monday’s sale at Newmarket:—There were a large number of store cattle from the coast, which sold at low. prices. Dairy cows were plentiful, but of an inferior description. A few good dairy cows sold from £lolos to £l2 ; backward springers sold from £7 to £8 10s; tbree-year-old steers from £6 12s 6d to £8; two-year-old steers from £4los to £slos; yearlings from £2 to £2los; two-year-old heifers from £4 5s to £5. Eat cattle were plentiful and sold freely at about 40s per 1001 b. Some largesized bullocks sold from £l4 to £ls each, sheep Market: There was "a very large show of sheep and lambs: half-breds' from 25s to 325; merinos sold from 12s to 15s; lambs sold from 8s to 16s; a pen of shorn half-bred wethers.sold at 8s 6d each. Digs were plentiful, and, sold at low prices. Otahuhu Sale: There was a fair supply of cattle, principally two year'old steers,' which sold from £4los to £5. Dairy cows from £8 to £9 7s 64-Two-year-old heifers sold at £4lss each. . .
