Lexicon, now. in course .of preparation by Mr Will iam polenso, of Napier, under the auspices of the .Goyernment, will probably be published ’iiext year, although.the remaining'part of‘the work will 3 not be. completed .until 1872. The'New Zealand’ Times states that it appears -from correspondence -between the' Government and Mr.Oolenso, laid on. the table of the House.of'Bepresehtatives, that the work contain every known, word; in the Maori larighajge, with clear unquestionable examples of Maori usage. :
