Jakes Tatlor (a well-known character), was charged with having stolen from a whare, a red blanket; a book called “ Sam Slick in Texas,” and sundry other articles, the property of Joseph "Warden Browne. He was found . guilty, and, taking into consideration the fact that he had been already 113 days in prison, during which time his conduct had been good, his Honor sentenced him to nine months’ imprisonment, with hard labour. Mr Lee for the defence.

Mr Wilson for the plaintiff; Mr Cuff for the defendant. 1 This was a.disputed claim, extendiug over a considerable time, of £2OO. Judgment for amount claimed, with costs, £l2 9s. GRAHAM V. KARAURIA PUPU. Mr Cuff for plaintiff. This was a claim of £ll2 ss. for ploughing and other work done. Judgment for plaintiff with costs, 17s. 6d. Thd Court rose at half-past 1 p.m.
