SIB WIIPBED IiWSOS, Died June 12th, 1867. the grandeur of the Cambrian county, Cv Belov'd so well, Cod has not limited His gifts of bounty To flood and fell. He placed a people round the western highlands, Not lightly stirred; But firm as firmest in our British islands In deed and word; Not stirred from dnty by the scorning laughter _L L And careless jeer, Which those who labor for the "good hereafter” Too often hear. We ever sorrow for the wide removal. From earthly sight, O* these who, better than the worlds approval, Have loved the right. Such was the patriarch, from his halls of Brayton So lately goqe, Who sought the crookedness of earth to straighten By moving on. On with the foremost in each wise amending Of life and laws; Alike his riches and his influence lending To upright cause. Though never more the friends of progress find him Their helper true, » He leaveth others of his name behind him To dare and do.
