Pepsine is thfc gastric juice itself, or rather the puri-fied-active principle winch digests food in the stomach. When from various causes the supply of the digestive fluid is too small, the inevitable consequences are bad digestion, gastritis, gastralgia, inflam mation of the mucous coat of the stomacu and bo a* els, heartburn, ancemea, loss oi strength, and in females general derangement.
