Is pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “ Tho Provinci.il Elections Act., 1558,” I, John Curling, Returning Officer tor the Electoral District of the Town ol Napier, clo hereby give notice that by virtue of a writ bearing date the 3rd da}’ of June, 1887, issued under the hand of His Honor the .Superintendent, an election will take place of one qualified person to serve os a member cf the Provincial Council of the Province of Hawke’s Hay for the said Electoral District, in liou of Thomas Kennedy Newton, Esq., resigned; and that the nomination of candidates will take place at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Napier, on Thursday, the 20th day of June, 1887, at noon, and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on Friday, the 21st June, 1887, and that I will declare the poll at the close thereof.
