To Chief Postmasters, Postmasters , and Sul.Postmasters. . <• In consequence of an arrangement effected with the Directors of the Panama Railroad.,Company, the New Zealand postage on newspapers conveyed by that route will be reduced from threepence, to one penny each. No alteration will take place' in the foreign rates, accounted for by this department to London and Panama, on newspapers addressed to foreign countries. . Corrected tables of rates will be furnished as soon as they can be got ready; in the meantime Postmasters will be guided by the present table, taking care that.twopence is deducted from the preseut rates as.enumerated in the table now in their possession.
